Happyness indices!

HDI: Life expectancy, education and GNI per capita.

World Happiness index: Considers Per capita GDP, Social support, Healthy life expectancy, freedom to make life choices, generosity, perceptions of corruptions and residual.

Happy planet index: Considers Life expectancy, life satisfaction and ecological footprint. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Happy_Planet_Index:

They all have their pros and cons. But what I say is despite being scored low in these parameters one can still be happy(not false happiness). So considering GDP per capita doesn't make much sense.
But without following some parameters we can't calculate happiness of a nation unless u go and ask every person or a sample space.
Anyway, now we will try to construct a new index for happyness. Let's dissect the parameters used in the above indices.
Just because of some parameter like GDP per capita doesn't have much impact we need not to ignore it completely. We can give each parameter a weighed value.

Per capita GDP: Less importance
Social support: Not sure how did they calculate. If it's helping each other then it's a good one.
Healthy life expectancy: I think one can't be happy despite being unhealthy(there are exceptions). So health we have to consider. Better health might always lead to higher life expectancy(not all the time). So we can consider that too.
Freedom to make life choices: Not sure.
Generosity: Kindness. A bit important similar to social support.
perceptions of corruption: In a corrupted country minor owns the majority wealth. Again it is becoming money issue. Let's tackle this just like per capita GDP.

As happiness is highly subjective we need to give higher weighage to subjective parameters and vice versa.
