How to tackle gun shootings?

Why don't they provide every student with a bulletproof vest which may cost about 500$(www.securityprousa.com) per vest? The total number of school children in the USA is 50.7million(https://nces.ed.gov/fastfacts/display.asp?id=372) as of 2017.  So, the total budget for this would be = 5,07,00,000*500 which is $25.35bn.  This amount is 0.61% of their 2018 federal budget.  This is exactly equal to the amount sought by white house for Trump's pet project(U know what is that!).

1 ton AC vs 1.5 ton AC

It's the amount of energy extracted from the air-conditioned space by a certain AC. 1 Ton in SI units is = 210 KJ/min or 3.5 KW In earlier days, people used ice blocks for colling space. They coined a standard measurement term for this cooling effect along with a time factor to make it easier. So, a ton of refrigeration is the amount of heat absorbed by a ton of ice at 0-degree Celsius to get converted into water in 24 hours.

Behind the scenes of "Depression and Addiction"

Image
When nothing excites you in the real world you get depressed. But why nothing excites you? When your body releases dopamine you get excited. The level or amount of dopamine released determines your level of excitement. You get excited less if that thing made your brain released less dopamine. If you are so excited it means that thing which makes you excite made your brain release more dopamine. For example, there is one thing which makes you release very high amounts of dopamine. Which results in high excitement while doing that. So your body is used to that level of dopamine. Since then, any other thing which makes you release the amount of dopamine which normally excites you will no longer excite like before. When you do such thing dopamine levels hit the peak and you will no longer get excited to normal dopamine levels. You want more and more dopamine to get excited. So you want to do more and more of that one such thing. All other things will release low levels(comparatively...

Few Hormones and their functions

Dopamine: It's a feedback and reward system. A sense of craving and pleasure. When you crave for sexual pleasure small pockets of dopamine are released in the brain telling you "Remember where you got your fix last time. Go there to get it". Norepinephrine: Creates alertness and focus. It is brain's version of adrenaline. It tells the brain "Something is about to happen and we need to get ready for it" Oxytocin and Vasopressin: They make you bond with the person who gave him/her the sexual pleasure.  Help to lay down the long-term memories for the cells. Endorphins: Gives and "high". A wave of pleasure to the whole body. Serotonin: Brings a sense of calm and relaxation. http://www.covenanteyes.com/2014/02/03/brain-chemicals-and-porn-addiction/

Difference between Addiction and Obsession

1.  Addiction: Escaping from an undesirable place to desirable place through fantasy living.  Obsession: Avoid fear.  2. Obsession: An idea or thought that continuously preoccupies or intrudes a person's mind.  Addiction: Addiction is defined as not having control over doing, taking or using something, to the point where it could be harmful to you.  So you are controlled in case of obsession and have no control when it comes to addiction.  The major difference is control over that thing.

Happyness indices!

HDI: Life expectancy, education and GNI per capita. World Happiness index: Considers Per capita GDP, Social support, Healthy life expectancy, freedom to make life choices, generosity, perceptions of corruptions and residual. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Happiness_Report Happy planet index: Considers Life expectancy, life satisfaction and ecological footprint. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Happy_Planet_Index: They all have their pros and cons. But what I say is despite being scored low in these parameters one can still be happy(not false happiness). So considering GDP per capita doesn't make much sense. But without following some parameters we can't calculate happiness of a nation unless u go and ask every person or a sample space. Anyway, now we will try to construct a new index for happyness. Let's dissect the parameters used in the above indices. Just because of some parameter like GDP per capita doesn't have much impact we need not to ignore it comp...

Eclipses

Lunar eclipse: When the moon comes exactly opposite side of the earth a full moon occurs. We can see a disk-like shape during the night. Supermoon: It's the full moon occurred when the distance between moon and earth becomes least. Blue moon: Once in 2 or 3 years we get an extra full moon which we call the blue moon. It has nothing to do with moon color. Solar eclipse: When the moon comes between earth and sun this occurs. We can observe this only during lighting side of the earth. The line of sight of some part of the earth is blocked by the sun in this case. So we can see a small spot on the sun during morning time on some part of the earth. http://www.moonconnection.com/moon_phases.phtml
