Difference between Addiction and Obsession
1. Addiction: Escaping from an undesirable place to desirable place through fantasy living.
Obsession: Avoid fear.
2. Obsession: An idea or thought that continuously preoccupies or intrudes a person's mind.
Addiction: Addiction is defined as not having control over doing, taking or using something, to the point where it could be harmful to you.
So you are controlled in case of obsession and have no control when it comes to addiction. The major difference is control over that thing.
