Why do we greet/wish on special occasion?

We always wish on every special occasion be it a birthday or festival or new year. Of course, those wishes are not gonna come true just because of our wishes. It doesn't mean we should not to wish at all. But there must a motive or purpose behind our wish. Newspapers and channels wish people and that's a promotion strategy. Celebrities wish because they have otherwise media portrays them as non-social species. A boy uses it to as an opening sentence to talk to a girl. A girl too sometimes does vice versa. We all wish people around us because we don't want them to think of us as a non-social person. We people wish to tell the world about our existence. Primary purpose/motive/use of greeting is marketing oneself and all other greetings are just crap and don't take them personally. A motiveless greeting is nothing but a piece of crap. Bottle line: Don't wish without a motive behind it. Motive inversely proportional to a piece of crap. Finally, I wish a very happy ...

Systems of governance!

We have countries following different systems of governance viz. 1. Presidential system:  Where president heads both state and government. Ex: USA, Mexico, Afghan, Brazil, Indonesia, Zim etc. 2. Presidential systems with prime minister:  Where president holds the supreme power prime minister serves at the pleasure of the president. Ex: South Korea, Belarus, Uzbekisthan. 3. Semi - presidential system:  Where president holds the executive authority and prime minister may head the government. Ex: France, Russia, Sri Lanka, Mangolia etc. 4. Parlimentary republics:  Prime minister is the active head of government and leader of legislative. President's range of power may vary being significant to little or none at all. Ex: India, Pak, Germany, Iraq, Italy, Turkey etc. 5. Mixed republican system:  A combined head of state and government is elected by the legislature, however they are not subject to parliamentary confidence during their term (although their c...

It it time for Dhoni to pass his baton!!

Dhoni might be a successful captain but sometimes his decisions frustrate us and we can't accept them anymore. Let's take ZIM vs Ind Series points to be considered Not choosing batting first : 1. What the point in choosing batting first when you know batting will be easy as the game progresses and first one hour helps the fast bowlers in chilly weather. 2. You must take risks against teams like Zimbabwe, you seldom get this freedom in foreign soil and you must utilize it. 3. No one cares if India win the series or lose the series. No one points you unless you play dreadfully. Stubborn policies: 1. Made just one change in three matches and said "we are concentrating on processes not the results". Ohh come on! How many times we have heard him saying this. 2. Who don't know the purpose of this series!! It is all about providing enough chances to all youngsters. 3. You can rest Rahul as he already proved himself, Bumrah was too much for Zimbabwe even a child ...

IPL-9 team report cards(Perspective on fulfilling purpose of IPL)

Considering the following 3 points this report card has been made. Youngsters/uncapped players: The purpose of IPL is to provide a platform for youngsters to perform at international level. Besides, they would share dressing room with contemporary cricket masters, which would not only help players but also Indian cricket. Indian players/Indian cricket: IPL is not just for youngsters. It gave several Indian players to get some form and practice. We have seen several comeback players who performed well in IPL and knocked the doors of Indian team. Foreign players: Even foreign players are benefiting from IPL. If overseas players perform well in IPL then only they other boards recognize the importance of IPL and will survive globally. Did teams give enough chances to players? Did players perform well? Did they used their resources smartly? Team 1 SRH: IPL winners!! No doubt SRH played amazing cricket. Coming to the point, did they fulfill the purpose?  Perhaps, yes. 1. S...

IPL 2016 team's Strengths and Weaknesses

I am going to put the teams in the order of their winning probability(As of 20th April). KKR:                                               Strengths :  Balanced side:  They have a stable team without many changes since 2012.  Indian batsmen:  They have best Indian players in their squad like Gambhir,                Uthappa, Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan(not reliable but on his day he can trash any attack) etc.  Versatile Batsmen:  They have innings builders and powerful hitters in their line      up.  No weak links in Bowling department:  All teams have weak links in their bowling      department, but, KKR have none.  Strong Spin department:  With the likes of Narine, Hogg, Chawla,     Shakib, Kuldeep Yadav(just to mention) they posses al...

Things to be done before 2019 WC

Whatever I am gonna write here is just my opinion based on my knowledge in cricket. Need to find out quality swing bowlers: As the world cup is gonna takes place in England, we, definitely need few quality swing bowlers. Finding swing bowlers will not solve the problems. We should take care their pace vs swing balance. We need to groom their swing rather than pace. Otherwise they will end up becoming Irfan or Bhuvi. Should find out a genuine pace - allrounder: This option will make the team more flexible and we can able to experiment with the positions of batsman. Otherwise our team will become stiff and much predictable for opposition teams. Need to make some pace friendly wickets in india: Just for the sake of winning the match and to gain the spin advantage or exploiting the opposition weakness we create more and more spin friendly wickets. This will definitely be a bane for future. At least we need to play some percentage of matches in pace friendly wickets. Never hesitate t...
